The Grand Canton has been around for a very long time. It started to form around 30 to 35 million year ago. The Grand Canyon is a very emaculate place. The showing of the layered rocks is something that is showing years of geological hostory. The Grand Canyon was founded on February 26, 1919. The National Park has been been around every since and has attracked thousands of people from all over. The Grand Canyon is owned by the Federal Government, this was done to protect what the national park is and the surrounding areas such as indian reservations.
